Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups sweetpatato peeled and fine chopped or greated


  • 1/2 litre milk


  • 3 tbsp sugar or jaggery or milkmad


  • 2 tsp ghee


  • 1 tsp chopped cashews, pista and almonds for garnishing


  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi)


  • 2-3 nos saffron strands

Directions

  • Wash, peel and grate sweet potatoes. Heat ghee in a pan, Roast the cashews and almonds in ghee. Fry till little brown and remove them in bowl and set aside.
  • To same ghee add grated sweet potato and saute for 2-3 minutes. Then add milk and let it boil on low flame for about 10 minutes until the milk thickens. Stirring constantly.
  • Add sugar and cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Garnish with roasted nuts. Serve hot or cold.
