Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • Drumsticks - 500 gms


  • Chopped onion - 1 cup


  • Besan - 1 tablespoon


  • Oil - 2 tablespoons


  • Jeera - 1/2 teaspoon


  • Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon


  • Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon


  • Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon


  • Amchur powder - 1 teaspoon


  • Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon


  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing or 1 tablespoon


  • Salt to taste or 1 teaspoon

Directions

  • Cut drumsticks into 2 inches long pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add jeera. When jeera crackles, add chopped onions and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add turmeric, drumsticks and salt. Saute for 2 minutes. Add add 1 cup water and cover pan for 6-7 minutes.
  • When drumsticks are cooked, add remaining spices and besan. Mix it gently and saute for 4-5 minutes or until the spices separates oil.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves now and switch off the flame.
  • Delicious and healthy 'Masala Drumstick ' is ready to be served with hot chapati/ jeera rice.
