Preheat oven to 160°C.
Cream butter and brown suger till light.
Add vanilla essence and cream again.
Sieve refined flour and baking powder together.
Now add flour mixture and the chocolate chips to the butter mixture and mix well to form a soft dough.
Make small balls of the mixture and place them on a greased baking tray.
Press these balls with a wet fork to flatten them and bake them in the preheated oven at 160℃ for 10-12 minutes.
