Ingredients

Serves 6

  • all purpose flour 1 1/2 cups

  • milk powder 1/2 cups

  • powder sugar 1 cups

  • baking powder 1.5 tsp

  • baking soda 1/4 tsp

  • cocoa powder 1 tbsp

  • butter 1/2 cups

  • milk or as required 1 cups

  • vanilla essence 1/2 tsp

Directions

    preheat your oven at 180 degree c

  • 02

    take a bowl add butter, sugar and essence

  • 03

    beat the mixture well for 2-3 minutes

  • 04

    add milk and mix well

  • 05

    sieve all the dry ingrediants. flour, milk powder, baking powder and soda

  • 06

    now add the dry mixture into wet mixture in a small batch, mix with cut and fold method

  • 07

    add more milk if batter is too thick

  • 08

    divide the batter into 2 equal portions

  • 09

    add cocoa powder in one portion, and if required add some milk and mix well

  • 10

    grease a round baking tin with oil

  • 11

    in the middle of the pan pour 2 tbsp of each batter one by one at a time to create layers

  • 12

    repeat the process till the end

  • 13

    use wooden stick to get the desired design

  • 14

    place the pan inside the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes

  • 15

    to check if it is cooked, insert a tooth pick and it should come out clean

    let it cool and enjoy
