  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

  • 1/2 cups milk powder

  • 1 cups powder sugar

  • 1.5 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cups butter

  • 1 cups milk or as required

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence


  • preheat your oven at 180 degree c
  • take a bowl add butter, sugar and essence
  • beat the mixture well for 2-3 minutes
  • add milk and mix well
  • sieve all the dry ingrediants. flour, milk powder, baking powder and soda
  • now add the dry mixture into wet mixture in a small batch, mix with cut and fold method
  • add more milk if batter is too thick
  • divide the batter into 2 equal portions
  • add cocoa powder in one portion, and if required add some milk and mix well
  • grease a round baking tin with oil
  • in the middle of the pan pour 2 tbsp of each batter one by one at a time to create layers
  • repeat the process till the end
  • use wooden stick to get the desired design
  • place the pan inside the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes
  • to check if it is cooked, insert a tooth pick and it should come out clean
  • let it cool and enjoy
