Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • FOR CHOLE - Boiled chana - 3 cups


  • Tomato puree - 1 cup


  • Ciba chana masala - 2 tablespoons


  • Oil - 3 tablespoons


  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon


  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon


  • Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons


  • Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon


  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing1 tablespoon


  • Salt to taste 1 teaspoon


  • FOR BHATOORA - Maida - 3 cups


  • Curd - 1 cup


  • Sooji - 1 cup


  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon


  • Salt to taste or 1 teaspoon


  • Oil for deep frying or 4 cup

Directions

  • Take a mixing bowl and add all bhatoora ingredients. Make a roti dough using water and leave for 2 hours
  • FOR CHOLE - Take a bowl and add turmeric, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, Ciba chana masala and 1/2 cup water and leave for 15 minutes
  • Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a cooker and add cumin seeds and soaked spices. Saute until the oil gets separated in spices. Keep the gas flame low
  • Add tomato puree and saute until oil starts leaving sides of the pan.
  • Now add boiled chole and water as required. Close the cooker. Cook on medium flame for 1 whistle
  • When pressure releases, open the lid and spread chopped coriander on the curry. Chole is ready.
  • FOR BHATOORE - Heat enough oil in a pan for frying bhatoore
  • Divide the dough in 12 equal parts and make balls. Roll them using rolling pin
  • Fry them from both the sides until they become light golden in colour
  • Delicious and spicy 'Chole Bhatoore' is ready to be served
