Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 cups green gram/ green moong/ whole moong


  • 1/2 cups besan/ gram flour or as needed


  • 1 tsp chilli powder


  • 1 tsp amchur/ dry mango powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste

Directions

  • Soak the green gram overnight or for 8 hours in enough water.
  • Drain the water and pressure cook the green gram in enough water for about 10 whistles. You can have it mushy too so that it binds well.
  • Drain any water that might be present in the pressured cooked dal and add the other ingredients and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a tava or pan. Shallow fry these tikkis till they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce or any chutney of your choice.
