Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups basmati rice


  • 1 nos onion


  • 3 nos green chilli


  • 1 tbsp ginger minced


  • 1 tbsp garlic minced


  • 2 inch cinnamon


  • 5 nos cardamom


  • 1 tsp cumin seed


  • 3 tsp salt as per ur taste


  • 3 tsp ghee/butter


  • 1 cups coconut milk


  • Coconut milk 1/2 cups


  • 1 tsp saffron colour

Directions

  • soak rice for 30 minutes drain it and keep aside
  • heat ghee or butter in a heavy bottom pan
  • add cinnamon ,cumin seeds and cardamom to fry
  • add in ginger and garlic and fry it for 2mims
  • Add in onions and green chilli and cook till golden brown..Season with salt…
  • Add in rice and mix well..Pour in the coconut milk and 3 cups of water and bring this to boil..
  • Add in saffron colour and mix well…Cover and simmer for 15 mins or untill all water is absorbed..
  • Fluff it with fork…Garnish with cilantro..Serve with your favorite curry..
