Vegetarian taco recipe my own innovation . Taco is actually a traditional mexican recipe stuffed with various types of fillings. for this veg taco recipe i have used some sauted veges and garnish it with cheese.

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 3/4 cups ing for taco shell :maize flour (makai ka atta)


  • 5 tbsp plain flour (maida)


  • 1/2 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp ajjwain


  • 2 tsp salt to taste


  • 1/2 cups plain flour (maida) for rolling


  • 1 cups oil for deep-frying


  • 1 nos ing for filling : carrot grated


  • 1 cups cottage cheese


  • 2 nos green capsicum cut lenghtwis


  • 1 nos yellow pepper cut lenghtwise


  • 2 nos onion make a paste


  • 3 nos tomatoes make a puree


  • 1 tbsp ginger &green chilli paste


  • 2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi


  • 1/2 cups milk


  • 1/2 cups curd


  • 1 nos cube cheese


  • 1 tbsp butter


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 1 tbsp red & green chilli sauce.


  • 7-8 nos onion rings for garnishing.

Directions

  • Taco shell : Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a semi-soft dough using enough water.
  • Divide the dough into 10_12 equal portion.
  • Now take 1 pirtion a d roll it to a puri size .
  • Heat the oil in a deep kadhai and deep-fry, a few puris at a time on a medium flame till they turn crisp and golden brown in colour from all the sides.
  • Take it out on a kitchen towel.and give a shape with the help of a rolling pin.
  • For filling : Take a kadhai and melt butter add oil when oil is heated add red chilli powder haldi dhania garam ma sala and saute for few minute.
  • Now add the onion paste and garlic chilli paste.
  • Cook continue on a low flame till the raw flavor disappears. Now add tomato puree, cabbage, carrot, capisicum and Mix in salt to taste and cover the pan. Leave to cook for about 2 minutes and then mash the paneer with your hands and mix in gravy with vegetables. Paneer brings a thick consistency in it.
  • Finally add 1/2 cup of milk and Keep the flame very low after adding milk and give a nice stir.
  • Finally add 1/2 tbsp kasuri methi, curd red & green chilli sauce and few coriander leaves.
  • To assemble tacos : Take 4_5 taco shell put the filling line then in a serving plate put some grated cheese on all .
  • Then put the salsa and garnish with onion rings and serve immediately.
