Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1.5 cups flour


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1/8 tsp salt


  • 1/2 cups sugar


  • 100 gms soft unsalted butter


  • 2 nos eggs


  • 1.5 tbsp cocoa powder


  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


  • 1/2 cups milk

Directions

  • Sieve flour, baking powder and salt . Keep it aside
  • Blend 1/2 cup sugar and butter until creamy
  • Add eggs, 1 at a time and blend until pale and frothy
  • Add vanilla extract and blend well
  • Alternately add flour and milk to egg mixture and blend until well combined
  • Seperate 1 cup batter and keep it aside
  • Mix Cocoa powder, sugar and 2 tbsp milk well
  • Add to 1 cup batter and mix well
  • Pour spoonful of vanilla and chocolate batter alternately in prepared cake tin one over another until both batters are completed
  • Using toothpick create swirls
  • Bake in preheated oven at 180 deg for 20-30 minutes until done
  • Allow cake to cool for 30 minutes. Demould, cut and serve
