Heat butter in a cooker, add bay leaf and saute for a minute.Then add chopped onions and garlic.
Cook till onions are soft and translucent or light pink in color.
Then add chopped tomatoes.Add ½ cup of water.
give 4_5 whistles open the lid.
Discard the bay leaf.
Blend it with a hand blender.
N then strain.
Now take a heavy bottom pan heat 1 tbsp butter add all purpose flour n cook .for few mins.
Now add chilled milk n keep stirring so that there are no lumps Ur white sauce is rdy.
Now add the tomato puree n let it boil add all the spices.
If u find ur soup is thick then add sum water.
Lastly put the cream n serve hot.
Serve with bread croutons or soup sticks
