Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cups basmati rice


  • 1.5 cups water


  • 3 tsp salt -to taste


  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste


  • 3 nos chillies


  • 1 nos onion large sliced thinly


  • 2 nos bay leaf


  • 2 piece cinnamon / pattai


  • 2 tsp black cumin seeds

Directions

  • Wash and soak rice for 30 mins. Drain and set aside.Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add in cumin, cinnamon and bay leaf and mix well.
  • Add in onions, green chillies, salt and cook till golden.Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 mins.
  • Add in rice and toss well. Add in water and mix well. Bring it to boil, cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Turn off the flame and let them pressure release by itself.
  • Open the cooker and fluff the rice.
