Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 cup lobia soaked overnight


  • 3 tomata


  • 1 inch ginger


  • 5-6 green chilly


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 1/2 tsp haldi pwd


  • 11/2 tsp salt


  • 2 bay leaf


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd


  • 1 cup beetroot puree


  • 11/2 cup whole wheat flour


  • 1 lit Oil for frying


  • 1 tbsp ghee

Directions

  • Mix beetroot puree, salt and 1 tsp oil in whole wheat flour and knead a dough
  • Keep it covered for 10 minutes
  • Meanwhile grind tomato, green chilly and ginger in a fine paste
  • Heat ghee in a cooker and add ghee in it
  • Add jeera, bayleaf and all masala in it and saute it
  • Add tomato paste and cook it till oil releases
  • Add lobia in it and water and pressure cook for 4-5 whistle
  • Do not open the lid let the steam release
  • Open it and simmer it on low flame
  • Heat oil in a wok
  • Take a lemon size portion from the dough and roll it
  • Deep fry it and serve it with lobia
