Description

Lachha paratha recipe is quite different from other stuffed paratha recipes like aloo paratha, gobi paratha, paneer paratha both in the way of making and taste. Lachha means layers and lachha paratha is layered paratha

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups wholewheat flour


  • 1 cups fresh methi


  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tbsp amchur powder


  • 2 tsp chat masala


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 1 pinch salt as per taste


  • 4 tbsp oil for moun


  • 1 cups for tomato chutney : tomato puree


  • 1 nos onion


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 4-5 nos green chillies


  • 8-10 nos few curry leaves


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp haldi powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tsp chat masala

Directions

  • Mix all the above ings nicely with your fingers and then water to make a hard dough.
  • Use less water
  • Cover and let it rest for 15_20 mins.
  • Now make big balls from it.
  • Take 1 ball and roll it .
  • Grease the rolled paratha nicely with oil and dust dry wheat flour on it.
  • Now lenghtwise strips
  • And start rolling one on the other.
  • When you have rolled all the strips it ll luk like a flower.
  • Now again start rolling little thick like a paratha.
  • Roast it on a heated tava both the sides nicely .
  • Put sum butter or ghee and turn up side down and roast till its done Enjoy hot .
  • For Tomato chutney : Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds when they start changing color add green chillies n curry leaves.
  • N saute for few mins then add onion and saute till pinkish or little brownish.
  • Now adf all the dry masalas and stir well for few mins.now add the tomato puree and cook on low flame till oil seperates.. mix well and stir nicely.
  • Add water accordingly and let it boil on low flame for 10 mins.
  • While serving u can add sum chevda (namkeek) garnish with coriander
