Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 120 gram unsalted butter


  • 3/4 Cup sugar


  • 2 egg white


  • 2 egg yolks


  • 11/4 teaspoon baking powder


  • 2.5 tbsp cocoa powder


  • 100 ml milk


  • 100 gram all purpose flour


  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt


  • 1 tbsp corn flour


  • 20g semi sweet chocolate


  • 3-4 tbsp chopped nuts to garnish optional

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 180 and prepare loaf pan
  • Sieve flours, baking powder and salt. Keep it aside
  • Melt butter over low heat, add milk sugar and cocoa powder to it. Bring to boil. Switch off
  • In a bowl add semi sweet chocolate, add above cocoa syrup to it reserving 1/2 cup seperately.
  • Stir chocolate until completely melted. this is chocolate glaze
  • Whip egg whites in a bowl until foamy and stiff peaks form . keep it aside
  • In a bowl, add egg yolks and reserved cocoa syrup. Mix well. Slowly incorporate dry ingredients and blend well
  • Add whipped egg whites to batter slowly and fold in until well combined
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan
  • Bake for 25-35 minutes until done. Allow to cool for 15 minutes
  • Demould and pour prepared chocolate glaze on top of the cake
  • Garnish with nuts. Cake should be sliced at room temperature. Serve
