  • 4 bread slices

  • 2 cups chopped spinach

  • 1/2 cup boiled corn

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili flakes

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil leaves

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder and salt to taste

  • for making cheesy white sauce: 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour

  • 1-1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)


  • heat one tablespoon butter in a pan
  • add boiled corns and washed and chopped spinach and mix niCely.
  • add oregano, black pepper, garlic powder, and little salt as the white sauce also has salt in it and mix nicely
  • add chopped basil leaves, Chilli flakes and cook till all moisture has evaporated and keep aside.
  • now make the cheesy white sauce, for that heat one tablespoon of butter and one teaspoon of olive oil in a pan
  • add all purpose flour and Roast till nice Aroma comes out
  • now add milk and stir continuously so that no lumps are formed
  • when milk thickens add dried Italian Herbs and salt
  • switch off the gas and add grated cheddar cheese and mix nicely
  • cheesy white sauce is ready
  • add this white sauce to the ready corn and spinach mixture
  • our filling is ready.
  • now take 4 bread slices and apply butter and put the Spinach mixture on the bread slices
  • cover with other bread slices on top
  • grease the preheated toaster/ griller with butter and place the sandwiches for grilling in the toaster with little butter on top of bread slices.
  • perfectly grilled sandwiches are ready in 2 to 3 minutes. Serve hot with tea or coffee or pack the sandwiches in your kids lunchbox for a fulfilling meal.
