  • 1/2 cup Chickpea flour (besan)

  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tablespoon garlic and chilli paste

  • 2 tablespoon oil

  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2-3 tablespoon Curd

  • 1/4 cup coriander, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder


  • In a bowl mix Chickpea flour, turmeric, curd and 1 1/2 cups water
  • Beat it untill the lumps get removed and it becomes a smooth batter.
  • Heat oil in a kadhayi, add cumin, mustard seeds, garlic-chilli paste and onions. Saute it till onions get cooked properly.
  • You can add curry leaves if you wish.
  • Add red chili powder and the batter.
  • Add salt and keep stirring it.
  • The batter becomes thick.
  • Cook it for 7-8 minutes on high flame and it is ready to serve.
  • Serve it with Bhakri (Jowar roti, bajra roti or rice roti) with green chutney or thecha and onions with it.
  • Easy, tasty, quick and healthy dish for lunch.
