For Masoordal: dal wash n soak for 30_35 mins 2 cups
onion finely chopped 2 nos
tomatoes finely chopped 3 nos
ginger 1 piece
cloves of garlic n green chillies grind altogether in a mixer 8-10 nos
redchilli powder 1 tsp
haldi 1 tsp
chat masala 2 tsp
garam masala 1 tsp
bay leaves 2 nos
Salt as per taste 1 pinch
For onionparatha : wholewheat flour 2 cups
oil 2 tbsp
cumin seeds 1 tsp
Coriander 1 sprig
onions 2 nos
red chilli powder 2 tsp
amchur powder 2 tsp
green chillies finely chopped 3-4 nos
Water to knead the dough 1/2 cups
For Masoordal: Heat oil in a cooker add ginger garlic paste n stir cook till it is pinkish n leaves the aroma .
Now add onion and bay leavez n saute nicely till it is pinkish n transparent .
Now add all the dry masalas mux well and add tomatoes n cook on low flame.
When tomatoes are well cooked add dal n cook for few mins.
Now add water accordingly n give 3 _4 whistle.
For onion paratha : Mix all the above ings and knead a dough.
Make small balls roll like a thick chappati and roast on a heated tava.
Roast on both the sides nicely.
Put sum oil or ghee and roast for a min both the sides.
Put in a serving plate and toss sum butter and serve with dal.
