Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • toor dal 1/2 cups


  • chopped tomato 1 cups


  • shallots 2 nos


  • brinjal 1/2 cups


  • pumpkin chopped 1/2 cups


  • drumstick 1/2 cups


  • mustard seeds 1 tsp


  • cumin seeds 1 tsp


  • sambar masala 1 tsp


  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp


  • curry leaves 6 nos


  • Salt to taste. 1 tsp


  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp


  • red chilly powder 1 tsp

Directions

  • Wash the toor dal and pressure cook it in a cooker with all the veggies for 3-4 whistles.
  • In a wok take some oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and let it crackle.
  • Add curry leaves and onions. Stir it well. Now add ginger garlic paste and wait till raw smell goes away. Then add tomatoes and wait till it turn mushy. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder.
  • churn the dal properly with all the veggies and make it smooth.transfer it into the wok and mix well. Add sambar masala , some water and bring it to a boil.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with idli and peanut chutney.
