Soak chickpeas overnight and pressure cook for 5 whistles by adding some salt in it..
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When it splatter add ginger garlic paste and onions.
In a blender blend tomato until smooth and add it in the onions.
Add some salt, haldi, red chilly powder and mix well.
Meanwhile take 1 handful chickpeas and mash it roughly.
When tomato leaves oil add chickpeas along with mashed mixture and mix it gently.
Add the remaining stock of chickpeas in the pan and bring it boil.
Add a pinch of garam masala and some chole masala.
Garnish with onions, coriander and serve hot with puri, bhatura or naan.
