Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 100gm milk chocolate chopped


  • 1tbsp butter


  • 2cups chenna(home made cottage cheese)


  • 3-4tbsp milk powder


  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar


  • 1tbsp pistachios and almond chopped


  • 1/2tsp rose water


  • For garnishing 2/4cup dates cut length wise

Directions

  • In a saucepan add the butter and chocolate with heat on medium melt the chocolate stirring occasionally.
  • Once the chocolate has melted turn off the heat and allow to cool completely, keep aside.
  • One the chocolate has cooled in a stand mixer beat together the chocolate and cottage cheese until well combined.
  • Heat a heavy bottom pan on medium heat, add the above mixture.
  • Add the milk powder, chopped nuts, powder suger and stir continuously until it becomes together like a ball of dough.
  • The dough will leave the sides of the pan turn off the heat.
  • Allow the mixture to cool completely keep aside.
  • Greased a different small size mould place the sandesh mixture and press them.
  • Press in the sliced almonds and dates on top.
  • Refrigerate in an airtight container to set for a couple of hours.
  • Serve the choco sandesh as a festive sweet for Diwali or Navratri sweets
