Ingredients

  • 200 grams flour

  • 1 large onion

  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • 1 tsp green chilly paste

  • 1/2 tsp haldi

  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 2 tsp dry coconut

  • 2 tsp oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 2 tsp fresh coriander leaves

Directions

    Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. when it starts to splatter add ginger garlic paste and green chilly paste.

    Wait till the raw smell goes off. Then add finely chopped onions and wait till it turn golde brown.

    Add some salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, grated dry coconut and some coriander leaves. mix it well.

    Add 1 1/2 cup of water and bring it to boil.

    Start adding gram flour in small portions and while stirring continuously.

    If required add some more gram flour to form a thick dough. Cover the lid for 5 minutes.

    Let it cool , then knead the dough using some oil and on a flat and grease surface roll it flat with a rolling pin.

    Sprinkle some coconut and coriander leaves and press it gently using rolling pin.

    Grease a knife and cut it into diamond shape. Serve hot.

    It is traditionaly called as patwadi.
