Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1cup Gulab Jamun mix (store bought)


  • 2tbsp Unsweetened cocoa powder


  • 1/4cup Water (for kneading)


  • 1cup Sugar


  • 1+1/2cups Water (for syrup)


  • 1 Cinnamon stick


  • 1/4tsp Saffron strands


  • 1/2tsp Cardamom powder


  • 1/4cup Chopped nuts

Directions

  • Take the jamun mix, unsweetened cocoa powder in a bowl, gradually add the water and make a soft dough,keep aside for 5minutes.
  • Meanwhile take the sugar with one and half cup of water,bring to boil.
  • Now add the cinnamon stick,cardamom powder and saffron strands,cook for few minutes,put off the stove and keep aside.
  • Let the sugar syrup gets cool completely.
  • Make tiny balls from the dough. Meanwhile heat enough oil for deep frying.
  • Drop those rolled balls to the oil, fry in medium flame until they turns brown.
  • Now add the fried jamuns to the already prepared sugar syrup. Let them sit for an hour or two hours.
  • Sprinkle few chopped nuts while serving.
