Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled sweet potatoes


  • 1 cup wheat flour


  • 1 tablespoon oil


  • 1 teaspoon cumin


  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powderer


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste


  • 1 tsp green chili paste


  • 7-8 curry leaves, finely chopped


  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 1/4 cup oil or ghee for grilling paraths

Directions

  • In a bowl add wheat flour, pinch of salt, a teaspoon of oil, mix it well and knead it into a a dough using water.
  • Cover the dough and keep it aside
  • Meanwhile, heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan add cumin, asafoetida, garlic paste, chilli paste, curry leaves and saute it.
  • Add all the dry spices and mashed boiled sweet potatoes.
  • Add lemon juice and salt. mix everything well and remove it from the flame.
  • Now make 5-6 equal balls of this potato mix.
  • Make 5-6 equal balls of the dough as well.
  • Roll the dough little flat using some dry flour. Stuff this potato ball in it. And roll it into paratha.
  • The thickness of paratha depends on your requirement. You can roll thin or thick according to your choice.
  • Now heat a tawa or a pan grill parathas from both the sides using little oil.
  • Parathas are ready to serve. A perfect healthy lunch recipe.
  • Good to carry in your tiffin.
  • Serve it with Curd or raita or chutney.
