Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1cup rice


  • 1/2cup gram dal (chhana dal)


  • 1/4cup toovar dal


  • 1/4cup urad dal


  • 1cup moong sprouts coarsely grind


  • 1tbsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1tsp green chilli paste


  • 1tsp soda bio carb


  • 4to5tbsp suger or gud


  • 1tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2tsp haldi powder


  • 1tsp salt as per taste


  • For tempering:-3tbsp oil


  • 1tsp musterd seed


  • 1tsp sesame seeds


  • 8 to 10 curry leaves


  • Extra ingredients-1/2 cup lauki grated


  • 1/2cup grated carrot, cabbage

Directions

  • Mix all dals and rice and grind them dry coarsely (like semolina).
  • Grind moong sprouts coarsely.
  • Mix all the ingredients and grated vegetable and mix well.
  • Add little water as per required and mix well.
  • Make a small round balls.
  • Put a balls in a greased thali and put them in a steamer and steam for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • For tempering heat oil in a pan add the musterd seeds, when the seeds is start popping add the sesame seeds, silted green chillies, curry leaves, and chopped garlic.
  • Add steamed balls and mix well.
  • Garnish with cheese coriander leaves and pack in a tiffin box along with a salsa sauce.
