1 cup dry chickpeas
1 small size onion
4-5 garlic cloves
2 tblspn fresh coriander leaves
1/2 tspn coriander powder
1/2 tspn cumin
1/2 tspn red chilli powder
2 tblspn maida
1 tblspn lemon juice
1 tspn salt or to taste
2 cup oil
Soak chickpea with enough water for overnight.
Now in a food processor add soaked chickpea , onion, coriander leaves, garlic cloves, coriander powder, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, maida and salt to taste.
blend coarsely in a food processor without adding any water. now add lemon juice and mix well.now prepare small sized balls.
deep fry the balls in hot oil till golden brown.
serve falafel with hummus or sauce of your choice
