Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup dry chickpeas


  • 1 small size onion


  • 4-5 garlic cloves


  • 2 tblspn fresh coriander leaves


  • 1/2 tspn coriander powder


  • 1/2 tspn cumin


  • 1/2 tspn red chilli powder


  • 2 tblspn maida


  • 1 tblspn lemon juice


  • 1 tspn salt or to taste


  • 2 cup oil

Directions

  • Soak chickpea with enough water for overnight.
  • Now in a food processor add soaked chickpea , onion, coriander leaves, garlic cloves, coriander powder, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, maida and salt to taste.
  • blend coarsely in a food processor without adding any water. now add lemon juice and mix well.now prepare small sized balls.
  • deep fry the balls in hot oil till golden brown.
  • serve falafel with hummus or sauce of your choice
