1 cup grated or crumbled paneer
1 cup fresh curd
1 cup chopped onion
2 tsp grated or paste garlic
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp green chiili paste
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup cream
2 tsp oil/butter
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp or according to taste salt
2 tsp coriander leaves for garnishing
1 small piece of coal for smoke
To marinate in a mixing bowl mix curd,1/2 tsp ginger paste,1/2 tsp chilli paste ,1/4 tsp of salt and marinate for 20 minutes.
In pan heat the ghee/butter and crackle the cumin seeds.
Add onion,ginger-garlic -chilli paste and cook for 5 minutes.
Add all dry masalas and cook for a minute.
Add marinated paneer and mix well.
Cover it and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add cream ,kasoori methi and cook for a minute.
For smoky flavour burn the coal .put this on small piece of aluminium foil in cooked paneer bhurji .Pour one drop of ghee over the burnt coal and cover it immidiatly.
After 2 minutes remove the foil and coal and mix the bhurji well.
Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and Serve it hot with chapati /naan or rice.
