1/2 kg paneer
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tsp grated or finel chopped garlic
1/2 tsp grated ginger
2 chopped green chilli
1/2 cup cashew paste
2 tsp oil/butter
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup fresh cream
1/2 tsp dried kasoori methi
1 small piece of coal (for smoke)
Cut the paneer in the desirable shape.
Make a paste of half quantity of each(onoin, garlic,ginger and chilli)
Heat oil/butter in a pan.
Add n Crackle cumun seeds.
Add onoin-garlic paste n cook for 5 minutes.
Add chooped/grated onin,garlic,ginger,chilli and cook for 2 minutes.
Add all dry masalas n cook for a minute or till it leaves the oil.
Add paneer cubes or pieces and mix well.
Add cream and cook for a minute.
Off the flame and add dried kasoori methi.
Fir smoky flavor burn the coal piece on flame .
Put a small piece of aluminum foil in the paneer gravy.
Put burnt coal on the foil an drop some drops of ghee over it and cover it immediately .
After 2-3 minutes remove the foil n coal and mix the gravy.
Pour this smoky paneer lehsuniya in a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
