Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cup paneer cubes


  • 1 tablespoon cashew nuts paste


  • 1/2 tablespoon poppy seeds paste


  • 1/2 cup yogurt


  • 1 tablespoon green chili paste


  • 1/2 cup chopped onion


  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste


  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder


  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves


  • 5 tablespoon vegetable oil


  • 1 cup green peas


  • 2 teaspoon or more salt as per taste


  • 2 teaspoon sugar(optional)

Directions

  • Heat oil in a wok or kadai and adf garlic paste. As it turns to be light brown add chopped onions. Cook onions until it becomes translucent.
  • Add poppy seeds paste,green chili paste,coriander powder,salt,sugar and cook for 5 - 7 minutes.
  • After that add green peas and yogurt. Cook it for 5 minutes. When green peas are soft add paneer cubes and give a stir.
  • Add 1 cup of warm water and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Then and cashew nut paste and cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Check seasoning and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and give a stir.
  • Malai matar paneer is ready to serve. Serve it with rice preparations or roti/paratha.
