Heat oil in a wok or kadai and adf garlic paste. As it turns to be light brown add chopped onions. Cook onions until it becomes translucent.
Add poppy seeds paste,green chili paste,coriander powder,salt,sugar and cook for 5 - 7 minutes.
After that add green peas and yogurt. Cook it for 5 minutes. When green peas are soft add paneer cubes and give a stir.
Add 1 cup of warm water and cook for another 5 minutes.
Then and cashew nut paste and cook for about 10 minutes.
Check seasoning and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and give a stir.
Malai matar paneer is ready to serve. Serve it with rice preparations or roti/paratha.
