Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup mashed paneer (cottage cheese)


  • 1/3 cup boiled peas


  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)


  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions


  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes


  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste


  • 1 teaspoon paneer masala


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies


  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander (dhania)


  • 2 bay leaves


  • 2 green cardamom


  • salt to taste

Directions

  • Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, green cardamom and bay leaves.
  • When the seeds crackle, add the onions and sauté on a high flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes, 2 tablespoon of water, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  • Add the paneer masala, turmeric powder, green chillies and 1 teaspoon of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  • Add the paneer, peas, salt , coriander and 1 tbsp of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  • Serve hot with naan, chapati or with parantha.
