Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Besan / Chana dal 2 cups


  • Maida 1 cup


  • Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon


  • Red chilli powder 1 to 2 teaspoons


  • Garam masala 1 teaspoon


  • Lemon juice 2 teaspoons


  • Salt 1 to 2 teaspoons


  • Oil 4 to 5 cups


  • Roasted coconut 1 cup


  • Ginger garlic and green chillies paste 2-4 teaspoons


  • Roasted poppy seeds 1 tablespoon


  • Finely chopped coriander 4-5 cups

Directions

  • Assemble all the required ingredients. In a mixing bowl, take Besan, Maida, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, Salt to taste.
  • Mix everything well and knead a tight dough using little water
  • Keep it covered aside for rest
  • Now in a mixing bowl take chopped coriander, roasted coconut, roasted poppy seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt to taste, lemon juice and some suger
  • Mix well and the stuffing is ready!
  • Prepare a small Puri using little dough, and place sufficient amount of ready stuffing in the centre
  • Roll it carefully and seal the ends
  • heat sufficient oil in a pan and deep fry all the rolls till golden brown and crisp, on very low heat
  • Enjoy with green chutney or tomato sauce and hot cup of tea
