Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Finely chopped spinach 2-3 cups

  • Chana dal flour or besan 1 cup

  • Rice flour 1 tablespoon

  • Salt 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Green chillies and garlic paste 2 teaspoons

  • Sesame seeds 2 teaspoons

  • Oil 1-2 tablespoons

  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon

  • Carrom seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Asafoetida 1-2 pinches

Directions

    In a mixing bowl, take chopped spinach, besan, rice flour, carrom seeds, turmeric powder, green chillies garlic paste, salt and baking soda

    Mix well everything and prepare a loose battre

  • 03

    Now grease a microwave safe dish with some oil and spread ready battre on it

  • 04

    Steam it as usual just like dhoklas or Idli for 10 to 15 minutes

    Later, let it cool for sometime and cut into desired shape

  • 06

    Now, heat some oil in a pan add sesame seeds, pinch of asafoetida and cut and steamed fritters on it

    Shallow fry all the fritters for some time from both the sides

  • 08

    Serve hot or cold with green chutney or tomato sauce or any favourite dip and enjoy endlessly
