1 cup masoor daal
1/2 cup semolina or suji
1/2 cup curd
1 medium sized onion chopped
1- inch ginger grated
1 green chiili chopped
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon coriander leaves chopped
1 tablespoon Oil
Soak masoor daal in water for more than 2 to 3 hours. Drain the water and grind it to make a smooth paste.
Transfer all the paste to a mixing bowl. Add all the ingredients and mix it well.
Preheat appam maker and pour some oil into each mold on the maker and add a pinch of mustard seeds and take mixture in a spoon and fill the molds.
After filling all the molds, cover and cook for 2 minutes on low flame. When the appam gets golden brown from beneath, flip sides.
Cover again and cook for 2 minutes or until getting golden brown in color on both sides. Our masoor dal appe or appam is ready to serve.
Serve with chutney or sauce.
