Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • All purpose flour 1 cup


  • Hot oil 2 tbsp


  • Salt to taste 1/2 tsp


  • Oil for deep frying 350 ml


  • Boiled potatoes 2


  • Boiled peanuts 1/4 cup


  • Green chutney 1/4 cup


  • Swet tamarind chutney 1/4 cup


  • Curd 1/2 cup


  • Onion finely chopped 1


  • Tomato finely chopped 1


  • Chaat masala powder 1 tsp


  • Sev 1/4 cup


  • Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tbsp

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl add all purpose flour, salt and hot oil. mix well and by adding water in little quantities make a stiff dough.
  • Take a lemon size dough into hand and roll it into a large circle. Also mark it with fork.
  • Place a steel katori in the middle of circle.
  • And start covering the katori by bringing rolled dough at the centre.
  • With the help of knife cut the upper extras to make a perfect katori shape.
  • Now deep fry the katori with steel katori using oil.
  • Remember to fry the katori in medium to low flame for 4 to 5 minutes to get very very crispy katori. After few minutes the dough Will leave the edges so that you can remove the steel katori with the help of spoon.
  • Fry the katori evenly both the sides till golden and crisp.
  • Arrange all the ingredients mentioned above to make katori chaat. Place the crispy katori in a serving plate and add few boiled potatoes & ground nuts.
  • Further drizzle some green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney.
  • Now add a tablespoon of curd, pinch of chaat masala powder.
  • Further add few chopped onion, tomato, sev and coriander leaves. You can again drizzle chutneys again if you like.
  • Serve crispy, sweet, spicy and tangy katori chaat as a evening snack.
