Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup urad dal


  • 3 cup Rice


  • Grated coconut 2 cup


  • Jaggery - 1/2 cup(as required)


  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp


  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp


  • CottageCheese 2 tbsp


  • Cashew nut 7-9


  • Chopped almond 8-9


  • Raisins 1 spoon

Directions

  • Soak 1 cup Urad Dal n 3 cup raw rice separately into water for 4-5 hours
  • Then first grind dal nicely for 12-15 minutes in grinder. Then remove this batter into Vessel.
  • Then grind raw rice coarsely. Mix 1 tsp fenugreek powder and salt mix well. Then rest the batter n ferment it overnight
  • For stuff..............
  • Take 2 cup fresh grated coconut n put it in hot pan add jaggery mix well n saute it continuously, add cottage cheese, cashew, raisins, almond, and cardamom powder 1/2 tsp n black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp n mix well n remove it
  • For Preparing idli..............
  • Take idli steamer add 2 glass water grease the idli mould put the batter half in mould then add jaggery n pour rest of the batter in mould and steam it for 7-8 minutes in medium flame then remove the cavities
  • Serve the hot n soft yummy idlis with homemade jam, curry n sambar
