Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Soya chunks small 3/4 cup


  • Onion 2


  • Tomato 2


  • Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp


  • Sesame oil 3tbsp


  • Jeera 1/2tsp 1tsp


  • whole Pepper 3/4tsp


  • Curry powder 1tsp


  • Turmeric 1/4tsp


  • Thin coconut milk 2tbsp (optional)


  • Lemon juice 1tsp


  • Coriander 1tbsp


  • Curry leaves 1sprig


  • Cooking oil 1/2tsp

Directions

  • Add soya chunks to boiling water along with oil and enough salt and switch off stove and leave it aside for 10mins
  • Wash the soya chunks minimum four times with every time squeezed well
  • Wash until raw smell leaves
  • In a kadai add oil..once its hot add jeera and curryleaves
  • Add onion and saute till light brown then add tomato
  • Saute tomato till mushy
  • Then add ginger garlic paste
  • Saute well
  • Mean time in a pan broil pepper and jeera and grind to a coarse powder
  • Add curry powder and turmeric salt and saute till oil separate
  • Then add soya and mix well .cover it with lid
  • It will leave water keep on mixing
  • Once it stops leaving water ..add thin coconut milk (optional).. saute till dry or semi dry
  • Adjust seasonings
  • Now add the roasted powder and just give a quick stir
  • Saueeze lemon and garnish with coriander
  • Goes well with mild pulao dosa and chappathi
  • Can also be made as lunch box recipe since it wont go bad for a day(leave coconut milk the and u can cook soya a day prior)
