Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup gram flour


  • 140 grams sour curd


  • 2 cups wate or as required


  • 1 tsp ginger chilly paste


  • 1 tsp salt to taste


  • 1 pinch hing


  • for filling: 1/2 cup grated paneer


  • 3 tsp grated coconut


  • 4 tsp grated cheese


  • 1 tsp pepper powder


  • 5 curry leaves


  • 2 tsp coriander leaves


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tsp green chilly chopped


  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions

  • Whisk curd, add gram flour in small portions (avoid lumps). When the batter is smooth add salt, hing and mix it well.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add this batter in it, stir continously till batter thickens.
  • grease a plate .
  • Keep mixture of paneer, cheese, pepper powder, grated coconut ready and immediately Spread it on the batter (heat will help to melt the cheese) and roll it gently. Grease a knife and cut the khandvi into small size.
  • Now for tempering heat some oil and add mustard seeds and wait till it splutters. Add green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves in it.
  • Place khandavi on serving platter and pour this tempering/tadka on top. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot.
  • Can be served as a snack too.
