Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 250 gm paneer


  • 1 tbsp maida


  • 2 Tbsp cornflour


  • 1 onion [cut in quarters and separate the layers]


  • 1 capsicum [cut into cubes]


  • 2 spoon fresh ginger garlic and red chilli paste


  • 2 tsp soy sauce


  • 2 tsp vinegar


  • 1 spoon tomato ketchup


  • a pinch ajinamoto [optional]


  • salt to taste


  • oil for frying


  • orange food color 1/2 tsp

Directions

  • Cut the paneer in big pieces and mix maida,1 spoon cornflour, 1 spoon ginger garlic paste and salt , in a bowl and keep aside. Add little water to the above mixture and add the paneer pieces, leave them to marinate. keep it for 30 mins. Now heat the oil and deep fry the marinated paneer pieces. In the hot oil, add ginger garlic paste and sauté for few seconds. fry on high flame. Add the onions and sauté them on a high flame for about 2-3 minutes. Now add the capsicum pieces as well and sauté further. Now in a bowl take half glass water and add corn flour, soy sauce, vinegar , color, ketchup, ajinomoto and salt to the water in the bowl. give it a mix to avoid any lumps. pour this mix in the pan so as to make the gravy /sauce for the paneer. When there is a certain luster in the gravy, add the fried paneer pieces followed by green chillies and coriander leaves.
  • Finally add corriender and green chili.
