Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1/2 cup warm milk


  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast


  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar


  • 1 egg


  • 13/4 cups bread flour


  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  • 2 tbsp honey


  • 3 tbsp unsalted melted butter lightly cooled


  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional


  • 1 tbsp honey for topping


  • 2.5 tbsp soft unsalted butter for topping

Directions

  • in a bowl add flour and make three well .Add yeast, sugar and salt respectively, gently mix
  • Add warm milk, honey,beaten egg and butter
  • Knead to form slightly sticky dough. If its too difficult to handle only then add additional flour but the dough should be soft and slightly sticky
  • Knead dough for 3-4 minutes. Place dough in greased bowl. Turn the dough so that its well coated with oil
  • Cover and rest in warm place for 2 hours
  • Deflate dough gently, you can cover with cling wrap and refrigerate if you want to use it for next day
  • Divide dough into equal portions
  • Shape like golf ball and place it in greased baking dish leaving gap between them. sprinkle little sesame seeds on top if required
  • Cover with cling wrap and rest for 1 hour in warm place.
  • Bake for 22-25 minutes until tops are golden brown in preheated oven at 180
  • Mix honey and butter in a bowl. Brush the rolls with them
  • Serve warm with leftover honey butter mix
  • Refrigerate any leftovers. Store for 2-3 days. Always serve warm
