1 cup small round shaped idlis
1/2 cup gram flour
1/ 4 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nigella seeds
1-2 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp. cumin powder
1/2 tsp.; coriander powder
1/2 tsp. red chili powder
Directions
Prepare a batter by mixing together all the above mentioned ingredients (except idli and oil).
Heat oil in a kadai / pan. Dip the idlis in the prepared batter and deep fry them few at a time till light golden in colour.
Drain on a kitchen towel and serve them hot as a tea-time snack.
