Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 250 gm paneer (cut in cubes)


  • 2 medium size onion (cut into 4 equal parts)


  • 1/2 cup oil for paneer and onion frying


  • For curry :-. 2tbsp oil


  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds


  • 2 bay leaf


  • 6-8 black pepper


  • 1/2 cup onion paste


  • 1 tbsp garlic paste


  • 1 cup tomato puree/thick paste


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1tsp coriander powder


  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder


  • Salt to taste or 1/4 tsp


  • 1/4 tsp garam masala


  • 2 tbsp fresh cream


  • 1 tbsp chopped green coriander for garnish


  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder


  • 1 chopped green chilli


  • 1 chopped red chilli (optional)


  • 1/2 cup Water


  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi (fry fenugreek leaves)

Directions

  • In a pan heat oil on medium flame and fry paneer till golden in colour
  • Fry onion in the same oil
  • Now in a pan heat 2tbsp oil on medium flame. Add cumin seeds, black pepper and bay leaf.
  • When it starts crackle then add onion garlic paste.
  • Add chopped red and green chilli and mix it.
  • Add tomato paste. And mix it for few seconds.
  • Add all spices like coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt, Turmeric powder, kasuri methi and mix it. Cook it for 1 minute
  • Now add 1/2 cup water and let be simmer it for 3-5 minutes on low flame.
  • Add fresh cream and mix it.
  • Add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder.
  • Now add fried paneer and onion . and cook it for 5 minutes on low flame.
  • In last add green coriander and garam masala.
  • Enjoy Paneer do Pyaza with naan or plain roti.
