CHICKEN GHEE ROAST | KOZHI NEI ROAST

Who hates chicken?? Chicken is a protein rich food and this recipe turned to be a big hit in my home!! My husband and kids enjoyed and it's a real Treat to your tastebuds!! Enjoy this dish with your family..!! Goes well with rice, chapathi, pulao, parotta, etc

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • For masala: Dry red chillies - 12


  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon


  • Coriander seeds - 2 teaspoon


  • Pepper - 2 teaspoon


  • Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon


  • Lemon juice - 2 teaspoon


  • Ginger - 1 small piece


  • Garlic pods - 7


  • Onion - 1 (finely chopped)


  • Ghee - 3 tablespoon


  • Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 teaspoon


  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup


  • Chicken - 1/2 kg


  • Fresh Curd - 1 cup

Directions

  • We have to marinate chicken in a freshly ground masala
  • For that masala, dry roast 12 red chillies and keep it aside
  • In the same pan, dry roast cumin seeds, fennel seeds, coriander seeds and pepper
  • Add all the dry roasted things in a mixer jar, add ginger, garlic and lemon juice to it and grind to a fine paste
  • Clean the chicken pieces well, add the ground masala and curd to it
  • Leave to marinate for 1 hour
  • In a pan, add ghee and then add onion to it and fry till it turn to golden brown
  • Add the marinated chicken to it and add kashmiri chilli powder to it
  • Roast well, no need to add any water
  • After 15 min, the chicken GHEE roast is ready to serve
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
