1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons ghee
2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 green chillies
1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
4-5 chopped curry leaves
2 tablespoons curd
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Sift together flour, baking powder and soda and salt
Whisk together ghee and sugar.
To butter add flour, curry_corriander leaves, chillies and mix with only tip of fingers to make crumble like texture.
The mixture will look crumbly,
Add curd and bring everything together. Add more curd only if required to make a tough dough.
Cover with damp cloth and leave for 10 minutes to sit.
Preheat oven at 170C for 15 minutes.
Roll dough and cut using cookie cutter and line on a baking tray.
Place all the cookies an inch apart in a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.
Leave the cookies on a wire rack to cool. They will turn crunchy when they come to room temperature.
Serve healthy Khara Biscuit along with Masala Chai and Masala Mixed Sprouts Sandwich during your tea time break.
