Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 2 cups Poha


  • 1 cup water


  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger


  • 1 green chillies finely chopped


  • 1 teaspoon peppercorns


  • 2 tbsp rice flour


  • 1/2 cup curd


  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda


  • 7-8 curry leaves chopped


  • 1 teaspoon salt or as per taste

Directions

  • Soak poha in water for 5 minutes and then mash it well
  • Add curd, baking soda. Mix well. Set aside for 10 minutes
  • Add rest of the ingredients and mix well
  • Heat oil in a pan. Wet your palms
  • Make lemon sized balls, flatten it and make hole in centre
  • Drop in hot oil. Deep fry over medium heat until golden brown
  • Drain excess oil on absorbent towel
  • Serve hot with sambar or chutney
