  • 1 cup Paneer or cottage cheese grated

  • 1 tsp Blackpepper powder

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1/4 cup Mint leaves or parsley chopped

  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

  • 1 French baguette

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

    Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Slice the baguette diagonally into equal size pieces. Bake the sliced baguette for 5 to 10 minutes in a preheated oven. However it goes well even without it. Spread a thin layer of melted butter on each.

    Now spread a generous amount of the paneer topping on each one. Serve immediately.

    A famous Italian appetizer with an Indian twist to it. It can never get better than this. With the goodness of paneer, it is a scrumptious starter idea for sure. Not only that, this makes for an excellent snack with a hot beverage of one's choice on any day and besides being healthy, it tastes a way lot better than any oily fried items that are usually chosen.
