Ingredients
Serves : 4
To Be Ground Into A Smooth Paste
1 cup grated low fat mawa (khoya)
1/4 cup cashewnuts (kaju)
4 green chillies , roughly chopped
2 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
3 cardamoms (elaichi)
2 tbsp water
Other Ingredients
4 tbsp ghee
3 cloves (laung / lavang)
3 cardamoms (elaichi)
4 tbsp finely chopped onions
salt to taste
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch)
1/2 cup milk
2 cups paneer (cottage cheese) cubes ginger (adrak) juliennes for the garnish
Directions
1. Heat the ghee in a kadhai, add the cloves, cardamoms and onions and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes till the onions turn translucent.
2. Add the prepared paste and sauté for another 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Add the salt, pepper, milk and ½ cup of water and bring to boil.Add the paneer and simmer for 2 minutes.
4. Serve hot garnished with ginger juliennes.
