Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • puffed rice 1 cups


  • raw cornflakes 1 cups


  • raw peanuts 2 tbsp


  • oil 2 tsp


  • white sesame seeds 1 tsp


  • asafoetida 1/4 tsp


  • curry leaves 4-5 nos


  • chopped green chili 1 nos


  • red chili powder 1 tsp


  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp


  • garam masala powder 1/2 tsp


  • sev bhujiya 1/2 cups


  • salt or as per taste 1/2 tsp


  • powder sugar 1 tsp


  • oil for deep frying 3 cups

Directions

  • heat oil for deep frying in a kadai and fry puffed rice till crispy
  • once done, shake the ladle to remove excess oil and drain on a colander lined with tissue paper
  • now fry cornflakes until crispy
  • once done, remove from oil and place on the colander
  • fry peanuts in the same manner
  • heat oil in a kadai, add sesame seeds
  • when they start crackling add asafoetida, curry leaves and green chili
  • fry for few seconds and switch off the flame
  • then add red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala powder and mix well
  • next add fried puffed rice, fried cornflakes and fried peanuts
  • add sev bhujiya
  • add salt and powder sugar
  • toss well and let it cool completely
  • your cornflakes chivda is ready to serve
