Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • for dhokla: 1/2 cup semolina


  • 1 tbsp gram flour


  • 3/4 cup buttermilk


  • 1/2 tsp salt or as per taste


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp eno fruit salt


  • for tadka: 1 tsp oil


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds


  • 1 green chili chooped


  • 4-5 curry leaves chopped

Directions

  • take a bowl, add all the dhokla ingrediants one by one except eno
  • mix it well and leave this batter for 5 minutes
  • heat water in a steamer
  • place a ring stand and allow the water to steam
  • now add eno to the batter and mix properly
  • take an appe pan and grease all the holes with oil
  • drop spoonful of dhokla batter in each hole and put this pan into the steamer
  • cover with lid and steam for 10-12 minutes on high flame
  • remove the appe pan from steamer and allow it to cool
  • heat oil in a tadka pan and add all tadka ingrediants one by one
  • switch off the flame and spread this tadka on dhokla
  • serve with chutney
