Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cup FOR THOPABesan/gram flour -


  • 3 cup Water -


  • to taste Salt or 1/2 teaspoon


  • 1 teaspoon Ginger chilli paste -


  • 1 tablespoons Chopped coriander -


  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric -


  • 1 teaspoon FOR TADKAMustard seeds/ rai -


  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder -


  • 1 teaspoon Amchur powder/Dry mango powder -


  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala -


  • 1 tablespoon Oil -

Directions

  • Make a lump free batter by mixing together all the ingredients for the thopa.
  • Pour the batter in a microwave safe dish
  • Cook in the microwave for 2 minutes. Remove and beat the batter. Again, cook for 2 minutes in the microwave. Remove and beat again. For the last time, cook for 1 minute in the microwave and knead. Spread it on a plate with an approximate thickness of 1/2 inches.
  • Allow it to rest for 5 minutes. After that, cut the thopa into cubes.
  • For the tadka, heat the oil and add rai, red chilli powder and thopa and all remaining spices.
  • Mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves.
  • Masala thopa is ready!
