Description

Cooking Time

Preparation Time :30 Min

Cook Time : 25 Min

Total Time : 55 Min

Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • All purpose flour 2 1/2 cups

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • Black seeds or kalonji 1 tsp

  • Oil or ghee 1 1/2 tbsp

  • Milk 3/4 cup

  • Cheese cubes/ cheese spread/ mozzarella shredded 1 1/2 -2 cups

  • Red chilli flakes 1 tbsp (or as per one's liking)

Directions

  • Knead a smooth dough out of all the ingredients except cheese and chilli flakes. Cover and rest it for atleast 30 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Roll them into a big roti each. Cut into two halves and spread the filling as per one's liking.
  • Use red chilli flakes or black pepper whichever is convenient. Shape them into luqmis either rectangular or triangular. They should be a bit bigger in size.
  • Deep fry in enough oil on a medium high heat to cook them evenly from inside out. Serve them to your families at iftaar time or kids who will love to take it as their yummy lunch box to school or also as an afterschool snack or even as an appetizer at any close knit parties.
  • An innovative twist given by me to these famous Hyderabadi flaky and crusty appetizers that are a prominent feature on many an important occasions like wedding etc. I have given a cheesy look to them in this festive season to celebrate. A change or an idea that is welcomed wholeheartedly by everyone including the kids. Infact they are the ones who made them a hit in my family and friends circle. A cheesylicious idea to celebrate the true spirit of fasting and iftaar. Happy Ramadan Friends !!!!!!!
